Thoughts on Rendering

At first I thought that rendering was going to easier than photography. Camera, lights and, action!
I guess it's my lack of experience with rendering that I took lighting in real life as granted.
Surfaces that lights bounce off of, sunlight whenever you want it, flash, and textures that are readily available to the eyes..
Now that I think of it, in comparison to that DSLR camera everyone seems to have handy, a GTX 950Ti with 2000 cuda cores seems scarcer, and what's even scarcer is the custom PC you've built to accomodate rendering needs..
Of course if I have all the money in the world I would have the killer PC to render everything. But
